|
ProfileMy name is Dorothy and I have been a childminder since, I first registered with Falkirk Council in 1997. During 2002 the Care Commission was created under the Regulation of Care (Scotland) Act 2001 to regulate all adult, child and independent healthcare services in Scotland. I have been registered with the Care Commission since their creation in 2002. I relocated to Featherstone during 2007** and am now registered with OFSTED. I have been childminding since 1997, I moved to Featherstone in November 2007, with my husband Stewart and our son Rhys born June 2006, I returned to work in January 2010 after the birth of our 2nd son Evan born June 2009. My 2 older children moved to Yorkshire in 2011 to be near me, my eldest son John is a chef and my daughter Samantha now works as a teaching assistant, All adults over 16 years have been CRB checked in my home. I have worked closely with the CLASP Project provided through Aberlour. CLASP provides outreach support for vulnerable families under stress with young children ages 0-3 years, which includes respite care. I took Nicola on as my Apprentice in the summer of 2014 she has fitted in very well and all the children love her. I are ideally located within easy reach of North featherstone infants and juniors there is ample parking to the front and side of the house. My Experience
* Until 2007 I was registered by the Care Commission and was a member of the Scottish Childminding Association (SCMA). ** We are registered by Ofsted who carry out regular quality safety checks and am also a member of the National Childminding Association (NCMA). |
